About the Role: As a Physician Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting physicians with patient care and treatment. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes and enhance the quality of care provided.
What You'll Be Doing: - Assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients, performing physical examinations, and reviewing medical histories. - Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, injections, and wound care under a physician's supervision. - Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as blood work, X-rays, and other imaging studies. - Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team. - Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive healthcare practices. - Assist in minor surgical procedures, including preparation, suturing, and post-operative care. - Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including progress notes and treatment updates. - Monitor patients’ progress and adjust care plans as needed in consultation with the supervising physician. - Ensure adherence to medical and ethical standards in all aspects of patient care. - Stay updated on medical advancements and participate in ongoing professional development and training.
