Make a Difference in Patient Care: As an Anesthetist at WMF's Villoo Poonawala Memorial Hospital, you will play a crucial role in ensuring patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures.
How You'll Contribute: - Evaluate patients’ medical histories, physical conditions, and potential risk factors before administering anesthesia. - Discuss anesthesia options with patients, explaining the procedure, potential risks, and post-operative expectations. - Perform necessary pre-operative tests and modify anesthesia plans according to patient needs. - Administer various forms of anesthesia (general, regional, local, or sedation) based on the type of procedure and patient requirements. - Utilize anesthesia equipment, monitoring devices, and medications to ensure proper dosage and patient safety. - Adjust anesthesia levels during surgery based on changes in patient condition or surgical needs. - Monitor and manage patients’ vital signs (e.g., heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen levels) continuously throughout the procedure. - Respond to any adverse reactions, complications, or emergencies during surgery. - Work closely with the surgical team to ensure effective communication and patient safety during the operation.
