About the Role: As a General Medicine Registrar at Bhatia Hospital, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
What You'll Be Doing: - Perform detailed patient assessments, taking thorough medical histories and conducting physical examinations. - Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with senior medical staff, adapting plans based on the patient’s response to treatment. - Coordinate diagnostic tests and interpret results, such as blood tests, ECGs, imaging, and other investigations, to inform clinical decisions. - Manage acutely unwell patients and respond to medical emergencies, including initiating resuscitation and stabilizing critically ill patients. - Participate in on-call duties and respond promptly to requests from nursing staff and other healthcare providers for medical assistance. - Provide timely and effective handovers, ensuring continuity of care for patients moving between teams and shifts. - Manage patients with chronic medical conditions, providing ongoing support and optimizing long-term treatment plans. - Educate patients and families about disease management, preventive measures, and health maintenance. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, pharmacists, and allied health professionals, to coordinate comprehensive care.
