About the Role: As an ICU Registrar, you will play a crucial role in managing critically ill patients and ensuring their safety and well-being.
What You'll Be Doing: - Conduct thorough clinical assessments and daily rounds for all ICU patients, reviewing patient conditions, vital signs, laboratory results, and medical histories. - Ensure appropriate management of life-threatening conditions and ensure that critical parameters are continuously monitored. - Provide prompt and accurate medical treatment for critically ill patients, including assessing symptoms, administering medications, adjusting treatment plans, and managing respiratory, cardiac, and other organ support systems. - Collaborate with ICU consultants to develop and adjust treatment plans, including decisions on ventilation management, fluid therapy, and sedation protocols. - Oversee mechanical ventilation, adjust settings as per the patient’s needs, and assess the efficacy of ventilatory support. - Perform weaning trials for ventilator-dependent patients when clinically appropriate.
