About the Role: As an Intensivist, you will provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients in the intensive care unit (ICU), managing life-threatening conditions.
What You'll Be Doing: - Monitor and assess patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimize outcomes. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (nurses, specialists, respiratory therapists, etc.) to deliver coordinated patient care. - Supervise and train medical staff, including residents and fellows, in ICU protocols and critical care practices. - Perform invasive procedures such as intubation, central line placement, and ventilator management. - Make timely and informed decisions regarding emergency interventions, resuscitation, and end-of-life care when necessary. - Review and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., lab results, imaging) to develop effective treatment strategies. - Educate patients and their families about conditions, treatment plans, and recovery expectations. - Participate in the development and implementation of ICU protocols, guidelines, and best practices. - Keep up to date with advancements in critical care medicine, ensuring evidence-based practices are followed.
