About the Role: As a Registrar/Sr. Registrar in Anesthesia, you will play a crucial role in ensuring patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures.
What You'll Be Doing: - Conduct thorough preoperative evaluations of patients, reviewing medical histories, performing physical examinations, and discussing anesthesia options and risks. - Administer appropriate anesthesia (general, regional, or local) before surgical procedures, ensuring the correct dosage and technique tailored to each patient's needs. - Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and anesthesia levels during surgery, adjusting anesthesia as necessary to maintain patient safety and comfort. - Provide postoperative care and pain management, monitoring patients as they recover from anesthesia and addressing any complications or concerns. - Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate anesthesia plans and ensure optimal patient care during procedures. - Be prepared to respond to any medical emergencies during surgery, including managing airway issues, cardiac arrest, or adverse reactions to anesthesia. - Educate patients and their families about the anesthesia process, addressing concerns and providing information on what to expect before, during, and after surgery. - Maintain accurate records of anesthesia administration, patient monitoring, and postoperative assessments, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
