About the Role: As a Senior Consultant/Consultant/Associate Consultant-Neuro Surgeon, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients with neurological disorders requiring surgical intervention.
What You'll Be Doing: - Diagnose and treat patients with neurological disorders requiring surgical intervention, including brain tumors, spinal cord injuries, and neurological trauma. - Perform complex surgical procedures such as craniotomies, spinal surgeries, and nerve decompression to address neurological conditions. - Collaborate with other medical specialists to create comprehensive treatment plans for patients with complex neurological conditions. - Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients, ensuring optimal recovery and minimal complications. - Evaluate diagnostic tests, such as MRI scans, CT scans, and EEGs, to determine the need for surgical intervention. - Counsel patients and their families on the risks, benefits, and expected outcomes of surgery and other treatment options. - Stay updated on the latest advancements in neurosurgery, including surgical techniques, technologies, and research developments. - Mentor and train junior surgeons, residents, and fellows in neurosurgical techniques and patient management. - Lead the development and implementation of best practices, protocols, and clinical guidelines within the neurosurgery department.
