Make a Difference in Patient Care: As a Nuclear Medicine Specialist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients using advanced imaging techniques.
How You'll Contribute: - Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients for diagnostic imaging or therapeutic purposes. - Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment such as PET, SPECT, gamma camera, and hybrid imaging systems. - Conduct imaging procedures including whole-body scans, cardiac scans, bone scans, renal scans, and thyroid scans. - Ensure accurate positioning of patients and proper functioning of imaging equipment during scans. - Monitor patients during and after procedures for any adverse reactions to radiopharmaceuticals. - Maintain safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients, staff, and self. - Perform quality control checks on radiopharmaceuticals and imaging equipment.
