About the Role: As an ICU Registrar, you will play a crucial role in the care of critically ill patients, ensuring their safety and well-being.
What You'll Be Doing: - Perform initial and ongoing assessments of critically ill patients, including history taking, physical examination, and diagnostic evaluation. - Monitor vital signs, laboratory reports, imaging results, and response to treatment. - Develop and implement patient management plans in collaboration with the ICU team. - Perform and assist in resuscitation and advanced life support procedures (ACLS, BLS). - Manage ventilated patients and monitor mechanical ventilation settings. - Perform procedures such as central venous catheterization, arterial line insertion, intubation, and lumbar puncture as required. - Work closely with intensivists, anesthetists, surgeons, and nursing staff to ensure integrated patient care. - Communicate with families regarding patient conditions, prognosis, and treatment plans. - Coordinate transfers of critically ill patients to and from the ICU.
