About the Role: As an Anesthesia Registrar, you will play a crucial role in ensuring patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures.
What You'll Be Doing: - Conduct pre-operative evaluations, including medical history, physical examination, and risk assessment. - Explain anesthesia options and risks to patients and obtain informed consent. - Optimize patients for surgery by managing preoperative medications and fluid balance. - Assist in the administration of general, regional, and local anesthesia under supervision. - Monitor vital signs, oxygenation, ventilation, and anesthetic depth during procedures. - Manage intraoperative complications, including hemodynamic instability and airway emergencies. - Adjust anesthesia levels and medications based on patient responses and surgical requirements. - Monitor for complications such as respiratory distress, nausea, or hemodynamic instability. - Assist in acute and chronic pain management, including epidural and nerve block procedures.
