Make a Difference in Patient Care: As a GI Onco Surgeon, you will play a crucial role in treating patients with gastrointestinal cancers, utilizing advanced surgical techniques to improve patient outcomes.
How You'll Contribute: - Perform surgical procedures for gastrointestinal cancers, including tumor resections, organ-sparing surgeries, and lymphadenectomy. - Assess patients preoperatively using imaging, biopsy reports, and staging investigations to determine the best treatment approach. - Utilize advanced surgical techniques such as minimally invasive laparoscopic, robotic-assisted, and HIPEC procedures when applicable. - Work closely with oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and nutritionists to develop integrated treatment plans. - Monitor patients postoperatively for complications, ensure proper recovery, and provide follow-up care. - Participate in tumor board discussions to determine the most effective multimodal treatment strategies.
