About the Role: As a GI Surgeon, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and surgically treating disorders of the gastrointestinal system, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
What You'll Be Doing: - Diagnose and surgically treat disorders of the gastrointestinal system, including the stomach, intestines, and liver. - Perform complex surgeries such as colectomies, esophagectomies, and liver resections. - Conduct pre-operative assessments, including imaging, lab tests, and patient evaluations. - Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery, addressing any complications. - Collaborate with gastroenterologists, oncologists, and other specialists for holistic patient care. - Educate patients on treatment options, surgical procedures, and post-operative care. - Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records and surgical documentation. - Stay updated with the latest advancements in GI surgery techniques and technologies. - Lead or participate in research to improve surgical outcomes and GI health.
