About the Role: As a Consultant in Surgical Oncology, you will play a crucial role in evaluating and diagnosing patients with solid tumors requiring surgical intervention.
What You'll Be Doing: - Plan and perform complex oncological surgeries including breast, gastrointestinal, head and neck, thoracic, urological, and gynecologic cancer surgeries. - Collaborate with medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, and pathologists to determine the best course of treatment for each patient. - Review diagnostic reports such as CT, MRI, PET scans, biopsy results, and blood tests to guide surgical planning. - Ensure surgical procedures follow standard oncology protocols and safety guidelines. - Counsel patients and their families about diagnosis, surgical options, expected outcomes, and postoperative care. - Supervise pre-operative assessments and post-operative care, including pain management and wound care. - Monitor patients’ recovery and manage complications or recurrence of disease.
