About the Role: As a Pulmonology Registrar, you will play a crucial role in evaluating and managing patients with respiratory symptoms, contributing to their diagnosis and treatment.
What You'll Be Doing: - Evaluate and manage patients presenting with respiratory symptoms such as breathlessness, cough, chest pain, and wheezing. - Assist in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases like asthma, COPD, tuberculosis, interstitial lung disease, and respiratory infections. - Monitor and manage inpatient cases, including those in HDU/ICU with respiratory involvement. - Perform and assist in pulmonary procedures such as bronchoscopy, thoracentesis, pleural biopsy, and PFT (pulmonary function testing). - Interpret diagnostic reports such as chest X-rays, HRCT thorax, ABGs, and PFTs. - Coordinate with the ICU/ER for management of respiratory emergencies like ARDS, pneumothorax, or acute exacerbations.
