About the Role: As a Senior Resident - ICU Intensivist, you will play a crucial role in managing and treating critically ill patients, ensuring the highest standards of care.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Oversee the management and treatment of all ICU patients during assigned shifts.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop treatment plans in collaboration with the consultant.
- Perform critical care procedures including intubation, central line placement, arterial line insertion, and bedside ultrasound.
- Manage mechanical ventilation, sedation protocols, inotropes, and hemodynamic monitoring.
- Monitor patient progress and modify care plans based on clinical condition and diagnostic reports.
- Supervise junior residents, nurses, and paramedical staff in the ICU.
- Lead daily ICU rounds and ensure thorough documentation of all clinical decisions and interventions.
- Respond immediately to emergencies including cardiac arrest, shock, and respiratory failure.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care with specialists such as pulmonologists, nephrologists, cardiologists, and surgeons.
