About the Role: As a Senior Resident in the Medical ICU, you will play a crucial role in managing critically ill patients and ensuring high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Be Doing: - Manage critically ill patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU). - Supervise junior residents and ICU nursing staff in daily care. - Perform invasive procedures such as central line insertion and intubation. - Monitor patient vitals, ventilator settings, and response to treatment. - Collaborate with consultants for treatment planning and escalation of care. - Ensure timely documentation and update of patient progress notes. - Handle medical emergencies and coordinate resuscitation efforts. - Interpret lab results, imaging, and hemodynamic data for clinical decisions. - Communicate with patient families regarding prognosis and care plans.
