About the Role: As an ICU Registrar, you will play a crucial role in providing continuous medical care and monitoring for patients in the ICU.
What You'll Be Doing: - Provide continuous medical care and monitoring of patients admitted to the ICU. - Assess, diagnose, and manage acute medical conditions under the guidance of ICU consultants. - Perform invasive and non-invasive procedures (e.g., intubation, central line insertion, arterial lines) as per protocols and competency. - Respond promptly to emergencies including cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, sepsis, etc. - Monitor ventilator settings and blood gas reports; adjust treatment accordingly. - Document daily progress notes, treatment changes, and significant clinical events. - Participate in ICU rounds and implement consultant instructions accurately. - Coordinate investigations, medications, and multidisciplinary consultations.
