About the Role: As a Consultant in Nuclear Medicine, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients through advanced imaging techniques.
What You'll Be Doing: - Perform and interpret nuclear imaging procedures such as PET, SPECT, and gamma scans. - Administer radiopharmaceuticals and monitor their biodistribution in patients. - Collaborate with radiologists, oncologists, and other specialists for integrated diagnosis. - Ensure patient safety and adherence to radiation protection guidelines. - Analyze imaging results to detect abnormalities or disease progression. - Maintain and calibrate nuclear medicine equipment regularly. - Document and report findings in patient records and medical databases. - Educate patients about procedures, risks, and post-scan care. - Supervise nuclear medicine technologists and support staff.
