About the Role: As a Consultant in the Liver Transplant ICU, you will play a crucial role in managing critically ill patients, ensuring their safety and recovery during the pre- and post-operative phases.
What You'll Be Doing: - Manage critically ill patients in the Liver Transplant ICU pre- and post-operatively. - Monitor hemodynamic status and organ function, ensuring timely interventions. - Lead the ICU team in implementing transplant-specific critical care protocols. - Coordinate closely with hepatologists, transplant surgeons, and anesthesiologists. - Oversee ventilatory support, infection control, and fluid-electrolyte management. - Handle complications such as graft rejection, sepsis, and multi-organ dysfunction. - Ensure meticulous documentation and compliance with ICU and transplant protocols. - Mentor and guide ICU residents, fellows, and nursing staff.
