Your Core Responsibilities: - Diagnose and treat eye diseases and conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration. - Perform eye examinations, including visual acuity tests, refraction tests, and eye pressure measurements. - Prescribe corrective lenses and medications for eye conditions, and provide advice on eye care and prevention. - Conduct eye surgeries, including cataract surgery, LASIK, and retinal surgeries, to treat various eye disorders. - Monitor and manage patients with chronic eye conditions, adjusting treatment plans as needed. - Educate patients on maintaining eye health, preventing vision loss, and managing conditions such as dry eye or age-related macular degeneration. - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including optometrists and neurologists, to provide comprehensive care. - Stay updated on the latest advances in ophthalmology, including new surgical techniques, medical therapies, and technologies. - Provide post-operative care and follow-up for patients who have undergone eye surgeries or treatments.
