About the Role: As a Senior Resident in Hematology, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and managing hematological disorders, contributing to improved patient outcomes.
What You'll Be Doing: - Assist in diagnosing and managing hematological disorders including anemia, leukemias, lymphomas, and clotting disorders. - Perform and interpret bone marrow aspiration/biopsy and peripheral smear evaluations. - Monitor patients receiving chemotherapy, transfusions, and immunosuppressive therapy. - Manage hematological emergencies and inpatient care under consultant guidance. - Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient records, reports, and progress notes. - Participate in daily ward rounds, clinical meetings, and tumor boards. - Supervise laboratory investigations and ensure coordination with pathology and transfusion services. - Train and guide junior residents and interns in hematology protocols and procedures. - Follow infection control guidelines, safety standards, and institutional policies.
