About the Role: As a Histopathologist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing diseases through the examination of tissue samples, contributing significantly to patient care.
What You'll Be Doing: - Examine tissue samples under a microscope to diagnose diseases, especially cancers and inflammatory conditions. - Perform gross examination, tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, and staining for microscopic analysis. - Interpret histological findings and issue detailed pathology reports to assist in clinical decision-making. - Correlate pathological findings with clinical and radiological data for accurate diagnosis. - Perform and evaluate special stains and immunohistochemistry as needed. - Collaborate with oncologists, surgeons, and radiologists in tumor boards and MDT discussions. - Ensure proper documentation, report turnaround time, and quality assurance in reporting. - Supervise and guide laboratory technicians and ensure adherence to NABL/NABH standards.
