About the Role: As a Senior Resident in General Surgery, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and managing surgical conditions, contributing to both elective and emergency care.
What You'll Be Doing: - Assist in diagnosing and managing surgical conditions in both elective and emergency settings. - Perform minor surgical procedures independently and assist in major operations under consultant supervision. - Participate in daily ward rounds, pre-operative assessments, and post-operative care of patients. - Manage surgical emergencies including trauma, appendicitis, hernias, and GI perforations. - Ensure proper documentation of clinical findings, operative notes, and discharge summaries. - Perform bedside procedures such as wound care, drain management, and suturing. - Supervise and guide junior residents and interns in clinical and surgical tasks.
