About the Role: As a Transfusion Medicine Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring safe transfusion practices and managing blood collection and testing processes.
What You'll Be Doing: - Supervise and manage blood collection, testing, processing, and storage. - Ensure safe transfusion practices and compatibility testing. - Monitor transfusion reactions and provide clinical consultation. - Maintain quality control and compliance with regulatory standards. - Oversee donor recruitment, screening, and counseling processes. - Coordinate with clinicians for appropriate blood component usage. - Implement protocols for blood inventory management. - Train and guide lab and clinical staff in transfusion procedures. - Maintain accurate records and documentation of transfusion activities.
