About the Role: As a Registrar in Gastrointestinal Surgery, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and managing GI disorders, contributing to both elective and emergency surgeries.
What You'll Be Doing: - Assist in the diagnosis and surgical management of gastrointestinal (GI) disorders. - Support consultants in performing elective and emergency GI surgeries. - Conduct pre-operative evaluations and post-operative care of surgical patients. - Monitor patient vitals, surgical sites, and recovery progress in wards and ICU. - Maintain detailed clinical documentation and operative notes. - Participate in daily rounds, case presentations, and academic discussions. - Manage surgical emergencies under supervision, including trauma and perforations. - Coordinate with anesthesiology, radiology, and pathology departments.
