About the Role: As a Gastroenterology Specialist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating disorders of the digestive system, ensuring comprehensive patient care.
What You'll Be Doing: - Diagnose and treat disorders of the digestive system, including the stomach, intestines, liver, and pancreas. - Perform diagnostic procedures such as endoscopy, colonoscopy, and biopsy. - Interpret imaging and laboratory tests to assess gastrointestinal conditions. - Manage chronic conditions like inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), GERD, and liver diseases. - Provide treatment for acute gastrointestinal issues, including infections and bleeding. - Collaborate with surgeons, dietitians, and other specialists for comprehensive patient care. - Prescribe medications and recommend lifestyle modifications for digestive health. - Educate patients on preventive care, including dietary habits and cancer screenings. - Maintain accurate patient records and ensure adherence to medical guidelines. - Stay updated on advancements in gastroenterology and participate in research.
