About the Role: As a Senior Resident in General Surgery, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality surgical care to patients in both emergency and elective settings.
What You'll Be Doing: - Assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and surgical management of general surgical conditions. - Perform minor surgical procedures independently and assist in major operations under supervision. - Conduct pre-operative assessments and post-operative care, including monitoring for complications. - Participate in ward rounds, surgical OPD, and follow-up clinics. - Manage emergency surgical cases such as trauma, acute abdomen, and soft tissue infections. - Maintain accurate operative notes, clinical records, and discharge summaries. - Supervise interns and junior residents, providing bedside teaching and procedural training. - Participate in academic discussions, surgical audits, and departmental CMEs.
