About the Role: As a General Surgery Tutor, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of surgical education by teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students. Your expertise will help students grasp essential surgical principles and practices.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Teach general surgery through lectures, case discussions, and clinical demonstrations.
- Explain key concepts in surgical principles, preoperative and postoperative care, wound management, and emergency surgery.
- Conduct bedside teaching in surgical wards, operation theaters, and outpatient clinics.
- Guide students in clinical case presentations, surgical techniques, and evidence-based surgical practices.
- Prepare teaching materials, case studies, and assessment tools for student evaluation.
- Supervise practical training sessions, ensuring students develop skills in history taking, physical examination, and basic surgical procedures.
- Stay updated with advancements in minimally invasive surgery, robotic surgery, and emerging surgical techniques.
- Provide academic mentorship and support to students struggling with surgical concepts.
- Participate in curriculum planning, syllabus updates, and interdisciplinary teaching initiatives.
