Make a Difference in Patient Care: As a Gastrointestinal Surgeon, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating diseases affecting the digestive system, ensuring comprehensive patient care.
How You'll Contribute:
- Diagnose and treat diseases affecting the digestive system, including the esophagus, stomach, intestines, liver, pancreas, and gallbladder.
- Perform surgical procedures such as laparoscopic, robotic, and open surgeries for conditions like gastrointestinal cancers, ulcers, hernias, and inflammatory bowel diseases.
- Conduct preoperative assessments, discuss treatment options, and explain surgical risks and benefits to patients.
- Collaborate with gastroenterologists, oncologists, radiologists, and other specialists for comprehensive patient care.
- Manage post-operative care, including monitoring for complications, pain management, and patient recovery.
- Stay updated on advancements in minimally invasive and robotic-assisted GI surgical techniques.
- Perform emergency surgeries for acute conditions such as bowel obstructions, perforations, and gastrointestinal bleeding.
- Educate patients on lifestyle modifications, post-surgical care, and preventive measures for digestive disorders.
