About the Role: As a Surgical Oncology Specialist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating various types of cancer through surgical interventions.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Diagnose and treat various types of cancer through surgical interventions.
- Perform complex oncological surgeries, including tumor resections, biopsies, and reconstructive procedures.
- Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with medical and radiation oncologists.
- Conduct preoperative assessments and discuss surgical risks and benefits with patients.
- Interpret diagnostic imaging such as CT scans, MRIs, and PET scans to plan surgical procedures.
- Monitor post-surgical recovery, manage complications, and provide follow-up care.
- Stay updated on advancements in minimally invasive, robotic-assisted, and targeted cancer surgeries.
- Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards to ensure comprehensive cancer treatment.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment options, post-surgical care, and rehabilitation.
