About the Role: As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in helping patients regain their independence and improve their quality of life.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Assess patients with physical, mental, or developmental conditions to determine their ability to perform daily activities.
- Develop individualized treatment plans to enhance patients’ functional independence in personal and professional life.
- Use therapeutic exercises, adaptive techniques, and assistive devices to improve mobility and coordination.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home modifications, ergonomic solutions, and self-care techniques.
- Help patients recover motor skills, cognitive abilities, and sensory processing through specialized therapies.
- Collaborate with physicians, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals for holistic patient care.
- Conduct workplace and environmental assessments to recommend adaptations for accessibility.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on ongoing evaluations.
- Maintain accurate patient records, therapy notes, and documentation for insurance or legal purposes.
