About the Role: As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a crucial role in assessing and treating patients with respiratory disorders, ensuring their well-being and recovery.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with respiratory disorders, including asthma, COPD, and lung infections.
- Operate and maintain respiratory therapy equipment such as ventilators, oxygen therapy devices, and nebulizers.
- Perform pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis to evaluate lung function.
- Develop and implement respiratory care plans in collaboration with physicians and healthcare teams.
- Monitor patients receiving mechanical ventilation and adjust settings as needed.
- Educate patients and caregivers on breathing techniques, airway management, and proper medication usage.
- Respond to medical emergencies such as cardiac arrest or respiratory failure and provide life-saving interventions.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols in all respiratory procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records, treatment plans, and equipment logs.
