About the Role: As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a crucial role in patient diagnostics and safety through advanced imaging techniques.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Operate nuclear medicine equipment to perform diagnostic imaging using radioactive materials.
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients as per physician's orders.
- Ensure patient safety by following radiation safety protocols and guidelines during procedures.
- Perform and assist with various imaging techniques, including PET, SPECT, and bone scans.
- Monitor patient conditions during procedures and report any issues or abnormalities.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including imaging results, medications, and radiation doses.
- Calibrate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and safety.
- Educate patients about the procedures, ensuring they are informed and comfortable.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to interpret results and plan treatment.
