About the Role: As a Histopathology Specialist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing diseases through the examination of tissue samples. Your expertise will directly impact patient care and treatment decisions.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Perform tissue preparation, processing, and staining for histological examination under the guidance of pathologists.
- Examine tissue samples under the microscope to assist in diagnosing diseases and conditions.
- Prepare slides from biopsy, autopsy, and surgical specimens for examination by pathologists.
- Maintain accurate records of all processed samples, ensuring proper labeling and tracking.
- Ensure proper handling, preservation, and storage of tissue samples to prevent contamination or loss.
- Assist in performing special stains and immunohistochemistry procedures to aid in diagnosis.
- Maintain histopathology laboratory equipment, ensuring they are functional and well-calibrated.
- Follow safety protocols and infection control standards to minimize the risk of exposure to hazardous materials.
