About the Role: As a Senior Resident in Radiation Oncology, you will play a crucial role in providing clinical care to cancer patients undergoing radiation therapy.
What You'll Be Doing: - Provide clinical care to cancer patients undergoing radiation therapy, including planning and monitoring treatment regimens. - Assist in evaluating patients' medical history, performing diagnostic tests, and determining appropriate radiation therapy protocols. - Operate and monitor radiation therapy equipment, ensuring accurate delivery of prescribed doses. - Collaborate with oncologists, medical physicists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and execute patient-specific treatment plans. - Conduct routine follow-ups and assess patients' responses to treatment, managing side effects and making necessary adjustments to therapy. - Participate in multidisciplinary tumor board discussions, contributing to comprehensive treatment planning. - Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, documenting patient progress and treatment outcomes. - Supervise and mentor junior residents, interns, and medical students in the radiation oncology department. - Stay updated on advancements in radiation oncology, including new techniques and technologies, to enhance clinical practices.
