Make a Difference in Patient Care: As a Surgical Gastroenterologist, you will play a crucial role in assessing and treating patients with gastrointestinal diseases requiring surgical intervention.
How You'll Contribute: - Assess and evaluate patients with gastrointestinal diseases requiring surgical intervention. - Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as endoscopy, colonoscopy, imaging, and lab work. - Plan and perform surgeries for gastrointestinal cancers, gallstones, hernias, bowel obstructions, and other conditions. - Perform minimally invasive and laparoscopic GI surgeries. - Provide pre- and post-operative care, including monitoring patient recovery. - Collaborate with gastroenterologists, oncologists, radiologists, and anesthesiologists. - Counsel patients and families on treatment options, surgical risks, and recovery plans. - Maintain detailed surgical and medical documentation.
