Make a Difference in Patient Care: As a Surgical Gastroenterologist, you will play a crucial role in assessing and treating patients with gastrointestinal conditions requiring surgical intervention.
How You'll Contribute: - Assess and evaluate patients with gastrointestinal conditions requiring surgical intervention. - Order and interpret diagnostic investigations such as endoscopy, colonoscopy, imaging, and laboratory tests. - Perform open and laparoscopic surgeries for GI cancers, inflammatory diseases, gallstones, hernias, and other disorders. - Manage perioperative care including pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-up. - Collaborate with gastroenterologists, oncologists, radiologists, anesthesiologists, and nursing teams. - Educate patients and families regarding surgical options, risks, and recovery processes. - Monitor and manage surgical complications and emergencies. - Maintain detailed surgical records, operative notes, and patient documentation.
