Make a Difference in Patient Care: As a Surgical Gastroenterologist, you will play a crucial role in evaluating and treating patients with gastrointestinal conditions requiring surgical intervention.
How You'll Contribute: - Evaluate patients with gastrointestinal conditions requiring surgical intervention. - Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as endoscopy, colonoscopy, imaging, and lab investigations. - Perform open and laparoscopic surgeries for gastrointestinal cancers, inflammatory diseases, hernias, and other disorders. - Provide pre- and post-operative care including patient counseling and follow-up. - Collaborate with gastroenterologists, oncologists, radiologists, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff. - Manage surgical emergencies and complications. - Maintain accurate surgical records and documentation. - Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
