What You'll Be Doing:
- Prepare operation theatre by ensuring sterilization and readiness of instruments and equipment.
- Assist surgeons and anesthetists during surgical procedures as scrub or circulating nurse.
- Prepare patients for surgery, including verification, positioning, and skin preparation.
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques and infection control throughout procedures.
- Monitor patient condition during surgery and report any abnormalities.
- Assist in shifting patients to recovery room and provide proper handover to recovery staff.
- Clean and restock OT with instruments, linen, and consumables after procedures.
- Maintain OT registers, surgical records, and instrument inventory.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and OT protocols.
